Officially launching at VISION 2014 will be Kuvio Automation Ltd.’s BlueOcean machine vision software platform and KuvioKamera smart cameras and compact vision systems. BlueOcean software enables users to build and deploy machine vision solutions with a graphical build environment that can be used in any laptop or desktop. Users can develop their own tools in the build environment by using JavaScript and any combination of tools in the platform, or add and integrate their own C/C++ algorithms as plug-ins into the BlueOcean platform.

KuvioKamera smart cameras and vision systems utilize a combination of FPGA, multicore DSP and ARM processors and are available in 2, 6, and 12 MPixel mono and color sensor models that achieve frame rates up to 160 fps at full resolution and 1000+ fps at conventional resolution. Each KuvioKamera includes up to two GigE connectors, one USB3 connector, and eight digital I/O lines for multi-camera solutions and external connections.
