FLIR’s AX8 fixed-mount thermal imager features both a thermal and visible camera and is designed for space-constrained areas for automated and uninterrupted condition monitoring of critical electrical and mechanical equipment. The camera has an 80 x 60 uncooled microbolometer detector with a 7.5 µm – 13 µm spectral range and a 640 x 480 visual camera with a 66° field of view. The thermal imager has 4,800 measurement points, IP67 housing, up to six measurement areas, an Ethernet connector, and streaming thermal, visible, and MSX video in MPEG, MJPEG, and H.264 formats. In addition, the imager includes a full suite of analysis and alarm functions that automatically send alerts when the AX8 detects elevated temperatures. FLIR’s AX8 is suitable for use in such applications as process and manufacturing and transportation.
