Last year, Matrox introduced the first 4Sight GPm fanless industrial computer, which is designed for machine vision applications on the factory floor, and featured a mobile-class embedded 3rd generation Intel Core processor, four GigE ports with PoE, and four USB 3.0 ports. Matrox has since introduced an entry-level version of the PC, which features an Intel Celeron J1900 processor, three GigE ports with PoE, and one USB 3.0 port, making it suitable for use in single and dual-camera machine vision applications. The new GPm model is available bundled with Matrox Design Assistant 4 (DA 4) vision software and comes pre-loaded with Microsoft Windows Embedded Standard 7. Alternatively, applications can be created using standard Microsoft development tools and Matrox Imaging Library (MIL).
