RICOH has announced that its extended depth of field cameras, which were on display at the 2014 AIA Vision Show, are now available. The cameras, the 2 MPixel EV-G200B1 (Monochrome) and EV-G200C1 (Color), and the VGA EV-G030B1, feature specialized lenses and built-in image processing capabilities and algorithms. The EV-G200B1 and EV-G200C1 cameras utilize a 1/1.8” interline progressive CCD image sensor: The Sony ICX274AL for the mono version, and the ICX274AQ for the color version. (4.4 µm pixel size) The EV-G030B1 features a 1/3" interline monochrome progressive ICX424AL CCD image sensor with a 7.4 µm pixel size.
Frame rate ranges from 15 to 90 fps and aperture from f/1.7 to f/8.6, depending on the model. The cameras are available with a choice of wide angle (8 mm), standard (12 mm) and telephoto (35 mm) lenses sold separately. These cameras are suitable for use in printed circuit board inspection, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and other factory automation applications.
