Held concurrently with LASER World of Photonics China 2015, Vision China 2015 is set to bring together leading machine vision companies and professionals from China and abroad to discuss the latest technologies, applications, products, and the growing machine vision market.

Organized by the China Society of Image and Graphics and Messe München, the event will be held at the Shanghai New International Expo Center and will showcase the industry’s core components and parts. Experts, researchers, engineers, and other industry professionals are expected gather at the event, which will showcase and highlight some of the following technologies and products:

Industries and markets expected to be covered at the event include factory automation, robotics, electronics and semiconductors, automotive manufacturing, printing, food and beverage, traffic and surveillance, defense, and medical imaging.

Last year’s Vision China show saw more than 95 exhibitors from 12 countries and regions, along with the 37,272 total visitors to LASER World of Photonics China. If recent news and buzz surrounding the machine vision market in Asia—and China, in particular—is any indication, this show will be even larger.

Recent reports from both the VDMA and the AIA seem to indicate that an increased use of machine vision technologies in China will play a significant role in the overall growth of the industry in 2015. When speaking at VISION 2014 on the growth of the German machine vision industry, Anne Wendel, VDMA machine vision, noted that from January to September of 2014, there was a 13% increase in foreign order incomes, and that a total of 10% of turnover in the German machine vision industry is exported to China.

“Strong momentum continues to come from abroad, particularly in the United States and Asia,” said Wendel, who predicted 2015 sales figures to surpass those of 2014.
