Smart cameras from Vision Components target traffic monitoring applications

Learn more about the new CARRIDA CAM smart camera from Vision Components, which combines the features of the CARRIDA Software Engine—which enables high-speed recognition of number plates/license plates—with a VC pro Z smart camera.

Combining the features of the CARRIDA Software Engine—which enables high-speed recognition of number plates/license plates—with a VC pro Z smart camera, the CARRIDA CAM is a standalone ALPR/ANPR camera system. VC Z smart cameras are programmable smart cameras that feature Linux firmware and dual-core ARM processors. The smart cameras feature five CMOS image sensor options to 4.2 MPixels, one trigger input and one flash trigger output. CARRIDA CAM is equipped with protective housing and M12 connectors conforming to IP67 protection class, making it suitable for use in rough environments. The CARRIDA CAM consumes less than 3 W of power and integrates memory for black/whitelisting for parking management. Additionally, the camera is equipped with 4 inputs and 4 outputs, 1 trigger input and 1 flash trigger output and features an Ethernet and a serial interface.
