Featuring a payload of more than 6 lbs. and a reach of more than 2 ft., the Racer3robot from Comau is suitable for such automation applications as assembly, pick and place, food and beverage, and electronics. Racer3 features six axes with speeds from 450°/s to 900°/s and can be mounted on benches, walls, ceilings, or on inclined supports. The robot—which weighs a little more than 66 lbs.—features an IP54 rated-enclosure, 0.02 mm repeatability, an a user-friendly control interface. Racer3, according to Comau, is designed to allow SMEs worldwlide to cost-effectively automate their operations, which can help to reduce overall operating expenses.
