USB3 Vision camera from Point Grey features 12 MPixel CCD image sensor

Check out the latest release from Point Grey, a USB3 Vision Grasshopper3 camera that features a 12 MPixel
Sony ICX834 global shutter CCD image sensor and targets such applications as industrial inspection, 3D scanning, microscopy, and mobile mapping.
     

Adding to its line of Grasshopper3 USB3 Vision cameras, Point Grey has released the 12 MPixel GS3-U3-120S6 (color and monochrome) camera, which targets such applications as industrial inspection, 3D scanning, microscopy, and mobile mapping. The 14-bit ADC camera features a 1” Sony ICX834 global shutter CCD image sensor, which has a 3.1 µm pixel and 4242 x 2830 image resolution running in dual-tap at 7 fps. Like other Point Grey USB 3.0 cameras, the camera uses a proprietary USB 3.0 link layer and frame buffer-based architecture and an image processing pipeline to enable color interpolation, look up table, gamma correction, pixel binning and USB3 Vision support.
