Rugged infrared cameras provide 360° video surveillance

Oculus infrared cameras feature uncooled VOx microbolometer detectors, pan-tilt-zoom capabilities, and are designed for outdoor video surveillance applications such as perimeter security, critical infrastructure, government, and public transportation. The cameras are available in four models:

With pan-tilt-zoom capabilities, the Oculus series of environmentally-rugged infrared cameras are designed for outdoor video surveillance applications such as perimeter security, critical infrastructure, government, and public transportation. The cameras are available in four models:

  • Oculus Searcher, a 640 x 480 camera with a 12° 50 mm f1.2 FOV
  • Oculus Ranger, a 640 x 480 camera with an 18° 35 mm f2.1 FOV
  • Oculus Scout, a 320 x 240 camera with a 9° 35 mm f2.1 FOV
  • Oculus TI, a 320 x 240 (or 640 x 480) camera with a range of FOV options

All models feature uncooled VOx microbolometer infrared detectors and provide 360° continuous rotation. The tilt stage can be set for one of two modes at -90° viewing and full +90° tilt. Additionally, the cameras feature IP67 protective enclosures. Sierra-Olympic Technologies, Inc. and UK-based Silent Sentinel have partnered to provide North American customers local sales and services support for the Oculus cameras, which are manufactured by Silent Sentinel.
