OptoPIC from Optronis is a camera designed for scientific and research purposes that features an exposure time of 200 ps and a repetition rate of 70 to 110 MHz. The OptoPIC camera features a 700 x 700 pixel CCD image sensor that enables it to capture images of objects whose light emission changes rapidly. The camera features programmable delay, which enables users to take various shots automatically in order to record a sequence of images which present the rapid changes in light emission in super-slow motion. Additionally, the camera uses a specially-developed image intensifier to achieve the short exposure time. Up to three pulsed light sources and a filter wheel can be integrated into the camera as well. Camera control is performed via an application in LabVIEW. The OptiPIC camera is suitable for use in such applications as fluorescence emission imaging, time-resolved spectroscopy, and 3D measurement using Time of Flight.
