MAY 22--RemoteReality Corp. (Westborough, MA; www.remotereality.com), a leading manufacturer of omnidirectional still and video imaging technology, has been selected by the Office of Naval Research (ONR; www.onr.navy.mil), an agency of the Department of Defense, to provide high-resolution 360° imaging capability for submarine periscopes. Working with systems integrators, RemoteReality also is focusing on omnidirectional video imaging for industrial and commercial uses such as home security, forensic imaging, surveillance, law enforcement, and emergency management systems. Its 180° and 360° omnidirectional still and video systems enable digital cameras to capture instant circular views.

At Fleet Week (May 24-29), RemoteReality's technology will be demonstrated to the general public at the ONR Afloat Lab, a research vessel that will be docked alongside the Intrepid Air and Space Museum in New York City. RemoteReality will provide live virtual tours of the Afloat Lab vessel and will demonstrate its NetVision 360 system--a weather-tight 360° video imaging system that provides multiple navigable views over Internet and network connections.
