SEPTEMBER 6--International Biometric Group (IBG) has released its Biometric Market Report 2000-2005 (www.biometricgroup.com), an analysis of revenues, growth trends, and industry developments in the current and future biometrics marketplace. The group projects that biometrics revenues will grow from $399.4 million in 2000 and $523.9 million in 2001 to $1.9 billion in 2005 and that large-scale public-sector biometrics usage, currently 70% of the biometrics market, will be surpassed by private sector deployments
