The board contains two Philips SJA1000 CAN controllers. CAN104 supports the BasicCAN mode (power up default) and the enhanced functionality PeliCAN mode. In the PeliCAN mode the CAN104 handles all CAN frame types according to CAN specification 2.0B and provides error-analysis functions to support diagnosis, system maintenance, and performance optimization. The CAN104 also features an optional 802.11 wireless LAN (WiFi) controller that can be used for CAN-to-WiFi bridging applications.
