  DECEMBER 11--Imaging Automation (Bedford, NH; www.imagingauto.com) has been selected by Massport to deploy its BorderGuard technology at multiple locations in Logan International Airport (Boston, MA).
• Kodak, SANYO form joint venture to manufacture OLED displays
  DECEMBER 6--Eastman Kodak Co. (Rochester, NY; www.kodak.com) and SANYO Electric Co. Ltd. (Gifu, Japan; www.sanyo.co.jp) have formed a global joint venture, the SK Display Corp., to manufacture organic light-emitting diode (OLED) displays for consumer devices such as cameras, PDAs, and portable entertainment machines.
• International Automated Systems is developing biometric system for airport security
  DECEMBER 5--International Automated Systems Inc. (Salem, UT; www.iaus.com)is developing an airport security system around its patented, market-tested biometric identification technology.
• Iverson and Skalabrin promoted
  NOVEMBER 30--CyberOptics Corp. has named Kathleen (Kitty) P. Iverson president and chief operating officer, and Mercury Computer Systems Inc. has promoted Mark F. Skalabrin to vice president and general manager, OEM Solutions Group.
• Cedara Software Corp. launches new family of products
  NOVEMBER 29--Cedara Software Corp. • US Customs Service to use Visionics live scan systems for airport security
  NOVEMBER 29--The US Customs Service has placed multiple orders for Visionics Corp. (Jersey City, NJ; www.visionics.com) FingerPrinter CMS live scan fingerprint systems.
• Axis recognized as a leader in network camera, video server market
  NOVEMBER 29--Frost & Sullivan (San Jose, CA; www.frost.com) has awarded Axis Communications AB (Lund, Sweden;www.axis.com) its 2001 Market Engineering Leadership Award for the global network camera market based on data derived from an end-user survey conducted by the research firm.
• FLIR Systems awarded new contracts valued in excess of $25 million
  NOVEMBER 28--FLIR Systems Inc. (Portland, OR; www.flir.com) has been awarded new contracts valued at more than $25 million for delivery of its Star-Q and Star SAFIRE II airborne imaging systems, ThermoVision Sentry perimeter security system, and MilCAM XP and MilCAM Recon hand-held reconnaissance and surveillance systems.
• Viisage Technology partners with Netegrity for enhanced on-line user access

• Kopin receives multimillion-dollar cyberdisplay contract from US Army
  NOVEMBER 27--Kopin Corp. (Taunton, MA; www.kopin.com) has been awarded a $3.5 million US Army contract to develop a full-color version of its CyberDisplay 1280, a 0.96-in.-diagonal active-matrix liquid-crystal display with 1280 x 1024-pixel resolution.
