OCTOBER 24--Coreco (Montreal, Canada; www.imaging.com) has reported revenues of US$6 million for the third quarter, compared with US$7.2 million in the same quarter of 2000. Net earnings from operations amounted to US$505,046 (US$0.07/share) versus US$689,442 (US$0.09/share) last year.

Oakland airport to install face scanner
OCTOBER 18--Oakland International Airport is taking a first step toward being able to scan crowds for terrorists with the installation of face-scanning technology. Alameda County, where Oakland is located, completed the implementation of a face-scanning system three months ago in the Oakland city jail.
