• DVT and Siemens sign brand-label agreement
  NOVEMBER 26--Under an agreement announced at the annual SPS trade show in Nuremberg, Germany, Norcross, GA-based DVT Corporation (www.dvtsensors.com) will brand-label machine-vision systems for the Automation & Drives Group of Siemens AG.
• Cedara Software announces results for first quarter
  NOVEMBER 25--For the first quarter of 2003, Cedara Software (Toronto, Canada; www.cedara.com) revenue of $6.3 million was down $5.0 million, or 44%, compared to the same period last year.
• Samsung selects Cognex wafer reader for advanced memory chip plants
  NOVEMBER 21--Cognex Corporation (Natick, MA; www.cognex.com), supplier of machine-vision systems, has announced that Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., manufacturer of advanced memory chips, will integrate the Cognex In-Sight 1700 wafer reader in all of its chip-manufacturing plants in Hwasung, Korea.
• Fakespace Systems and Mechdyne Corporation announce planned merger
  NOVEMBER 19--Fakespace Systems Inc. (Kitchener, Ont., Canada) and Mechdyne Corporation (Marshalltown, IA) have signed a letter of intent to merge their businesses by the end of the year.
• Actuality Systems wins patent approval for key technology
  NOVEMBER 13--Actuality Systems Inc. (Burlington, MA), a leader in spatial 3-D visualization technology, has received four notices of allowance on several key patents involving its spatial visualization technology.
• DRS Technologies awarded contracts for high-speed airborne digital imaging systems
  NOVEMBER 12--DRS Technologies Inc. (Parsippany, NJ; www.drs.com) has been awarded two new contracts to produce high-speed digital imaging systems for installation on US and Canadian combat aircraft.
• L-3 Communications to take equity position in Millivision
  NOVEMBER 11--L-3 Communications (New York, NY; www.L-3Com.com) has taken an equity stake in Millivision, a privately held technology firm specializing in millimeter-wavelength imaging.
• StockerYale awarded contract for specialized LED application
  NOVEMBER 8--StockerYale Inc. (Salem, NH; www.stockeryale.com) has been awarded an initial contract from Elsag spa, a Genova, Italy-based company, for custom-designed, infrared light-emitting-diode illuminators.
• Cautious optimism at LINOS
  NOVEMBER 7--According to its provisional quarterly figures, LINOS AG (Goettingen/Munich, Germany; www.linos.com) increased its sales revenue over the previous quarter by about 7% to EUR 18.31 million between July to September 2002.
• Navitar team focuses on new product development
  NOVEMBER 7--Navitar Inc. (Rochester, NY; www.navitar.com) has created a new research-and-development team headed by William D. Bridson and Dmitry Gorelik.
