• Imagis receives order from Mexican Police
  APRIL 10--Imagis Technologies Inc. (Vancouver, Canada; www.imagistechnologies.com) has received an order from T.C. Vilsa SA (Mexico City, Mexico) for the company's Computerized Arrest & Booking system, ID-2000 facial recognition, and evidence-tracking module.
• Cognex system chosen by European steel manufacturer
  APRIL 9--Corus Colors, a business unit of Corus Group plc, has integrated the Cognex Corp. (Natick, MA; www.cognex.com) SmartView surface-inspection system into a Colorcoat Line at its manufacturing facility in Flintshire, Whales, England.

• Fairchild Semiconductor completes purchase of data-conversion business
  APRIL 1--Fairchild Semiconductor International (South Portland, ME; www.fairchildsemi.com) has completed the acquisition of Toko Inc.'s data-conversion business and its design center, Signal Processing Technologies Inc. (Colorado Springs, CO), for an undisclosed amount.
