• Fairchild Imaging to provide CCDs for US Postal Service advanced camera system
  JANUARY 23--Lockheed Martin Distribution Technologies (Owego, NY) has selected the Fairchild Imaging (Milpitas, CA; www.fairchildimaging.com) CAM 8525 as the core imaging module for its Wide Field of View (WFOV) camera system.
• DALSA to acquire Bromont Semiconductor Wafer Foundry from Zarlink
  JANUARY 22--DALSA Corporation (Waterloo, Ontario, Canada; www.dalsa.com) has announced a definitive agreement to acquire controlling interest of the semiconductor foundry facility of Zarlink Semiconductor Inc.
• BittWare announces record growth for 2001

• Recon/Optical awarded Swedish reconnaissance contract
  JANUARY 18--Recon/Optical Inc. (ROI; Barrington, IL; www.roi.bourns.com) has been awarded a multimillion-dollar contract by Saab Avionics to produce and deliver state-of-the-art reconnaissance cameras for Sweden's JAS-39 Gripen fighter aircraft.
• InVision Technologies receives order from French customer
  JANUARY 18--InVision Technologies Inc. (Newark, CA; www.invision-tech.com) has received a follow-on purchase order for multiple explosives-detection systems (EDSs) for approximately $9 million from Aeroports de Paris (ADP) under a master contract signed in November 2001.

• Company changes name
