• Adept Technology to host regional technology briefings

• Gordon E. Moore receives Lifetime Achievement Award from Semiconductor Industry Association

  NOVEMBER 6--NEC Electronics Inc. (Santa Clara, CA) has changed its name to NEC Electronics America Inc. (www.necelam.com) as part of the launch of its parent company, NEC Electronics Corporation.
• Bookham Q3 revenues up despite tough market
  NOVEMBER 5--UK optical-component manufacturer Bookham Technology plc has announced improved third-quarter results despite tough market conditions.
• National Instruments founder receives ISA highest award
  NOVEMBER 5--James Truchard, president, CEO, and cofounder of National Instruments Corp. (Austin, TX; www.ni.com), has received the Honorary Member Award, the most prestigious award conferred by the ISA-the Instrumentation, Systems and Automation Society.
• Primagraphics wins order from Alenia Marconi Systems
  NOVEMBER 4--Primagraphics (Charlottesville, VA; www.primagraphics.net) has won a record L2.8 million (US$4.4 million) contract from Alenia Marconi Systems (Farlington, Portsmouth, England; www.aleniamarconisystems.com) to supply radar input and scan converter systems.
• Radstone announces partnership with Green Hills Software
  NOVEMBER 4--Radstone Technology (Towcester, Northants, UK; www.radstone.co.uk) and Green Hills Software Inc. (www.ghs.com) have announced a partnership to provide the Green Hills INTEGRITY operating system on Radstone single-board computers and selected products.
• Optronics announces distribution and development agreement with Jenoptik
  NOVEMBER 4--Optronics (Santa Barbara, CA), a developer of easy-to-use high-performance digital cameras for the microscopy market, has announced a reciprocal distribution and development agreement with Jenoptik Laser, Optik System GmbH.
• Coreco reports third-quarter results
  NOVEMBER 1--Coreco Inc. (Montreal, Canada; www.imaging.com), a provider of high-performance hardware and software for the computer-vision market, has reported its interim results for the period ended September 30, 2002.
