• Flat-panel market growth to surge in 2002
  JUNE 17--DisplaySearch (Austin, TX; www.displaysearch.com), a flat-panel-display (FPD) market-research and consulting firm, has released its 2002 FPD Producer Profile Report.
• PC shipments expected to grow 4.7% this year
  JUNE 14-Technology-research-firm IDC Corp. (www.idc.com) has raised its forecast for 2002 global personal-computer sales, predicting corporations would buy more than previously expected and shipments would rise 4.7%.
• Economic recovery to accelerate in remainder of 2002
  JUNE 13--The economic recovery in the United States will continue to gain momentum over the remainder of 2002, accompanied by modest economic growth and low inflation, according to a survey of economists and investment strategists at 41 leading international financial institutions and investment organizations recently conducted by KPMG LLP.
