• HaiVision expands facilities in Montreal

• New e2v center for electronic imaging is established

• Low-cost machine-vision applications much closer with new Canesta development platform
  AUGUST 18--Research-and-development professionals in robotics, materials handling, biometrics, vehicle safety, security, virtual control systems, and a wide variety of other potential or existing applications for computer or machine vision now have access to low-cost, real-time 3-D imaging technology based upon electronic perception technology, according to Canesta (San Jose, CA; www.canesta.com).
• Coreco reports revenues increase 27%
  AUGUST 10--Coreco Inc. (Montreal, Quebec, Canada; www.imaging.com) has announced its results for the second quarter, ended June 30, 2004, marking its highest quarterly revenues in three years.
• Jena-Optronik GmbH to equip RapidEye satellite-based observation system
  AUGUST 10--Jena-Optronik GmbH, a subsidiary within Jenoptik's Photonics business division, has received a major order for the delivery of image-processing systems for the RapidEye satellite-based Earth observation system.
• Imperx awarded contract to provide high-resolution digital sensor suite

• Omron to establish new sensing and control technology facility in China
