  MAY 24--Special Application Products (SAP; East Bergholt, UK; www.sapltd.co.uk) is to market the extensive range of industrial camera enclosures from APG Inc. (Allison Park, PA; www.apgvision.com).
• Atmel and Tower Semiconductor announce CMOS image-sensor agreement
  MAY 20--Atmel Corporation (San Jose, CA; www.atmel.com), a leader in the development and fabrication of advanced semiconductor solutions, and Tower Semiconductor Ltd. (Migdal Haemek, Israel; www.towersemi.com), an independent specialty foundry, have agreed on a CMOS image-sensor technology development partnership.
• Companies sign comarketing agreement
  MAY 20--Parker Hannifin (Cleveland, OH; www.parker.com) has signed a comarketing agreement with Mercury Computer Systems (Chelmsford, MA; www.mc.com), a provider of high-performance embedded digital and signal image-processing computer systems for sophisticated real-time defense applications.

• Automated Concepts moves into new facility
  MAY 13--Automated Concepts Inc. (www.automatedconcepts.com), a robotic-systems integrator, has built and moved into a new 65,000-sq ft facility in Council Bluffs, IA.
• US health-care company places US$5.7M dental CCD order with e2v
  MAY 11--Dentrix Dental Systems (American Fork, UT; www.dentrix.com), part of the Henry Schein Inc. health-care group, has placed a US$5.7M (£3.0M) dental CCD order with e2v technologies (Chelmsford, UK; e2vtechnologies.com).
• Geodetic Systems to provide V-STARS photogrammetry system to General Dynamics C4 Systems
  MAY 10--Geodetic Systems Inc. (Melbourne, FL; www.geodetic.com), a provider of portable 3-D coordinate-measurement systems for industrial measurement, announced that General Dynamics C4 Systems has acquired a V-STARS S8 photogrammetry system for its quality-control operations.
• Cognex Corporation acquires DVT
  MAY 10--Cognex Corporation (Natick, MA;www.cognex.com) has acquired DVT Corporation, a privately held company based in Duluth, GA.
• Awaiba and Alexima unite to focus on customized CMOS image sensors
  MAY 9--Awaiba Lda (www.awaiba.com) and Alexima (www.alexima.com), two CMOS image-sensor design houses, have finalized a strategic agreement that will enable them to fill the void in custom image-sensor development.
