• Infrared Solutions launches partnership with JENOPTIK Laser, Optik, Systeme
  JANUARY 20--Infrared Solutions Inc. (Minneapolis, MN; www.infraredsolutions.com) has announced its marketing partnership in North America with JENOPTIK Laser, Optik, Systeme GmbH of Jena, Germany, and the launch of the VarioCAM line of infrared cameras.
• Michigan Aerospace awarded $600k contract by NASA and DARPA
  JANUARY 20--Michigan Aerospace Corporation (MAC; Ann Arbor, MI; www.michiganaero.com) has received a $600K, two-year contract jointly funded by NASA, Johnson Spaceflight Center, and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) to develop image-processing algorithms for 3-D sensors.
• National Instruments makes $5 million donation to enhance worldwide engineering education
  JANUARY 19--National Instruments (Austin, TX) has donated $4 million worth of products and $1 million in cash to more than 100 universities in 25 countries for academic research and classroom projects that improve science, technology, engineering, and mathematics education.
• District Court rules in favor of The MathWorks in National Instruments patent case
  JANUARY 19--The US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas has denied the National Instruments (Austin, TX; www.ni.com) motion to find The MathWorks (Natick, MA; www.mathworks.com) modified Simulink product in contempt of the Court's prior rulings.

• Newfound Technology acquires MaxVideo PCI image-processing products from Datacube
  JANUARY 13--Newfound Technology Corp. (Boxborough, MA; www.artel.com) has announced the purchase of all of the business assets of MaxPCI image-processing products from Datacube Inc. (Danvers, MA; www.datacube.com).
• Adept Technology PLC Server robotic interface approved by Rockwell Automation
