Daily Product Highlights 2006 p16 of 22:

  • Cameras are plug-and-play
Lumenera plug-and-play Ethernet cameras provide easy installation and a user-friendly operator interface. The control and readout of the images via internal and external web can be password-protected. The cameras are based on a 10/100BaseT network interface and have a 48-Mbyte frame buffer on-board.
  • Thermal-imaging camera is affordable
At the heart of the AXT100 thermal-imaging camera is a 32 x 31 uncooled thermopile focal-plane array. The processing capabilities of the camera are made possible through a Blackfin DSP, built by Analog Devices. On-board image processing interpolates and smoothes the raw image to full 256 x 248-pixel resolution. Advanced signal processing allows for features such as linear or logarithmic scaling, image storage, and false color.
  • Module adds new utilities inspections
The Vision 8 Development Module combines vision libraries with acquisition software for many cameras--including those based on the IEEE 1394 (FireWire) connection standard--all optimized for programming environments such as LabVIEW and C++, Visual Basic, and .NET. In addition, the module includes new algorithms for golden template comparison, optical character verification, and Data Matrix grading.
  • Hand-held readers identify parts
Next-generation DataMan 7500 series hand-held direct-part-mark readers read all printed and direct-part-mark codes for manufacturers implementing part-traceability programs in the automotive, aerospace, electronics, health-care, and defense industries. The readers combine IDMax code-reading software with UltraLight illumination technology to read codes regardless of marking method, part material, shape, or surface texture.
  • Lenses are for alignment
Micro Machine Lenses (MMLs) are ultracompact, low-mass lenses based on a telecentric optical design that are for applications including machine-vision alignment, image gauging, and surface inspection. Three different fixed-magnification MML lenses for IR applications are available.
  • Camera combines 4 Mpixels with Camera Link interface
Dual-tap AccuPiXEL 50.8 x 50.8 x 81.5-mm machine-vision camera, the TM-4100CL, offers resolution of 4.2 million pixels. With a Kodak KAI-4021 imager, it produces full-resolution 2048 x 2048 images at 15 frames/s. It features full asynchronous reset with electronic shutter up to 1/16,000 s or pulsewidth exposure control.
  • mvBlueFOX camera is updated
Matrix Vision mvBlueFOX-M 38.8 x 34-mm module contains four digital I/Os that can be used for trigger and flash. The hardware real-time controller, implemented in the FPGA, can poll the inputs and control the outputs and image capture in real time. The mvBlueFOX-M module is available with a range of sensors in both monochrome and color versions.
  • Color cameras give high resolution
Intelligent color cameras, the IMPACT T28 and IMPACT T24, are the latest additions to the IMPACT T-series. The IMPACT T28 has 1600 x 1200-pixel resolution, useful for high-accuracy color verification, label inspection, and real-time part sorting. The IMPACT T24 is an economical color camera designed for high-speed applications requiring lower-resolution imaging (1024 x 768 pixels). Both models contain an on-board image processor plus real-time I/O and Ethernet communications.
  • Board is for CCTV DVRs
New 16-input, 480 ips MPEG-4 DVR board with hardware compression is a complete security system on a board, incorporating on-board hardware compression and decompression. A software developer's kit enables implementation into existing DVR, NVR, and video analytic applications.
  • Ultrasmall camera runs fast
Ultracompact EC1600 CCD, 2-Mpixel, FireWire machine-vision camera provides high-resolution (1620 x 1220 pixels) images and runs at 15 frames/s (faster with region-of-interest readout). It is available in monochrome or color versions. The camera can be used for applications such as LCD panel inspection, PCB inspection, semiconductor imaging, ATM bank machines, and traffic imaging.
