Web inspection systems are critical for automating the production of materials such as glass, textiles, and foil.Using multiple linescan cameras to image the entire swath of a web and both sides of the product leverages this useful technology for maximum effect, but doing so is neither simple nor straightforward. This webcast, from Vision Systems Design, will discuss the benefits and challenges of multiple linescan-camera web-inspection systems, and provide critical information on alignment and calibration necessary for success. A case study--inspection of a glass-encased product by way of a a dual-sided linescan system will serve to illustrate how this alignment and calibration is performed.
