New to the ace U line of GigE cameras from Basler are four new models (acA720-290gm/gc, acA1440-73gc/gm), which feature Sony Pregius CMOS image sensors.

The acA720-290gm (monochrome) and acA720-290gc (color) cameras feature the IMX287 sensor, which is a VGA image sensor with a 6.9 µm pixel size that can achieve a frame rate of 291 fps. Basler’s acA1440-73gm (mono) and acA1440-73gc (color) cameras are based on the 1.6 MPixel IMX273 sensor, which has a 3.45 µm pixel size and can achieve a frame rate of 72 fps.

Both sensors feature the Ultra Short Exposure Time Mode, which enables extremely short exposure times of up to one microsecond (1 µs), according to Basler. Additionally, the cameras feature the feature set PGI, a unique combination of 5x5 debayering, color-anti-aliasing, denoising and improved sharpness.
