Omron launches new smart camera for machine vision applications

The FHV7-series smart camera features a multi-color light, an autofocus lens, and a range of CMOS image sensors to serve inspection of varied products on single production lines. The camera also features a dual-core CPU and high-speed image compression algorithm that enables saving of image data while inspecting a second image in parallel.

Available CMOS vision sensors are 0.3, 1.6, 3.2, and 5 MPixels. Auto-focus lenses are available in 6, 9, 12, 16, and 25 mm focal lengths. Lighting options are white, red, IR, and multi-color. IP67 protective covers are available, and the FHV7 features Ethernet TCP/IP, EtherNet/IP, and PROFINET connectivity.
