Teledyne e2v announces quad-channel analog-to-digital converter

The EV12AQ605 is designed to address the rising channel counts of next-gen wireless infrastructure.

Teledyne e2V has unveiled the EV12AQ605 12-bit quad-channel analog-to-digital converter (ADC), that offers functionality almost identical to the EV12AQ600 ADC, with a different number of interleaving mismatch calibration settings on the one time programmable memory (OTP) and a lower supported temperature range of -40° C to 110° C.

The EV12AQ605 measures 16 mm x 16 mm and includes a crosspoint switch that allows its four processing cores to run independently, simultaneously, or paired together. A 6.4 GSps single-channel sampling rate offers 3.2 GSps/channel in dual-channel mode and 1.6 GSps/channel in quad-channel mode. Output data is delivered at speeds up to 12.8 Gbps via ESIstream serial link.

Input bandwidth for the EV12AQ605 exceeds 6.5 GHz while in extended bandwidth mode. The number of channels used, gain, offset, and sample delay can be programmed through an SPI interface.
