Atmel selects IMASYS as its digital-camera distributor in France

SEPTEMBER 26--Atmel Corporation (San Jose, CA; www.atmel.com) has awarded a distribution agreement in France to IMASYS (Grenoble, France; www.imasys.fr) for its CCD camera lines.

SEPTEMBER 26--Atmel Corporation (San Jose, CA; www.atmel.com), which designs, manufactures, and markets worldwide advanced-logic, mixed-signal, nonvolatile memory, and RF semiconductors, has awarded a distribution agreement in France to IMASYS (Grenoble, France; www.imasys.fr) for its CCD camera lines. IMASYS will source Atmel's AVIIVA M2 linescan range (0.5, 1-2-4 Kpixels high speed), CAMELIA area-scan family (resolution up to 8 Mpixels), and the recently announced AVIIVA C2 monoline color camera family.

Christophe Robinet, camera marketing manager for Atmel, said, "With their offer of a large range of vision solutions, many years of experience, and high quality of service, they will add significant value to the customer relationships Atmel already has in France."
