Hyperspectral imaging contract awarded to Telops

Telops (Quebec, QC, Canada) has been awarded $1.6 million contract by the SpecTIR (Reno, NV, USA) for initial delivery of two Hyper-Cams FTIR hyperspectral imaging sensors. The Telops hyperspectral sensors will be integrated by SpecTIR in a system for the US Government with a mission for standoff detection and identification of targets for data collection.

SpecTIR President, Mark Landers, said, “Telops' Long Wave technology complements our hyperspectral systems to create a COTS, full spectrum capability,” said Landers.

Telops is a supplier of high performance infrared cameras and hyperspectral imaging systems for defense and security, environmental and industrial applications. Telops also offers R&D services for optical system technology development. Over the past decade, SpecTIR has teamed with SpecIM (Oulu, Finland) in the design and development of hyperspectral imaging systems. SpecTIR offers an array of remote sensing services along with expertise ranging from system design and fabrication, to exploitation of hyperspectral imagery and advanced remote sensing/GIS solutions.
