Delta Optical Thin Film will showcase its Bifrost line of continuously variable bandpass filters for hyperspectral imaging at SPIE Photonics West 2019. The Bifrost filters are designed for use with mid-size and full-frame CCD/CMOS sensors, and there are currently three models of Bifrost filter available.

The first model has a center wavelength range of 450 nm to 850 nm with bandwidth of approximately 4% of center wavelength. Transmission is 70% to 90% with a blocking range of 200 nm to 1100 nm, and is designed for a maximum sensor size of 25 mm x 30 mm.

The second model has a center wavelength range of 450 nm to 950 nm with bandwidth of approximately 2% of center wavelength. Transmission is 20% to 90% with a blocking range of 200 nm to 1200 nm, and is designed for a maximum sensor size of 36 mm x 30 mm.

The third model has a center wavelength range of 800 nm to 1100 nm with bandwidth of approximately 1% of center wavelength. Transmission is greater than 85% with a blocking range of 200 nm to 1150 nm, and is designed for a maximum sensor size of 18 mm x 23 mm.

Sensor sizes are given as length x height where length is along the wavelength gradient and height is perpendicular to the wavelength gradient. The filters can be diced to smaller sizes.

Delta Optical Thin Film will be located in Booth 804.
