Camera systems supplier NET New Electronic Technology GmbH (Finning, Germany) has recently acquired iv-tec GmbH (Freiburg, Germany), a technological company that specializes in the development of algorithms and real-time image-processing software.
NET expects the acquisition of iv-tec to improve the performance and functionality of its customized camera systems with appropriate image-processing algorithms that enable complex applications, such as in the industrial and medical technology sectors, especially in endoscopy. The camera supplier says that iv-tec’s technology and applications innovations will enable it to support lag-free 3-D depth measurement using stereo camera systems; real-time HD image rotation and zoom; and radial/tangential correction of optical image defects, among other operations.
