FRAMOS to distribute CMOS image sensors from Photonfocus

Distributor of machine vision equipment FRAMOS and Photonfocus, a maker of machine vision cameras and CMOS image sensors, have announced a partnership that began in February 2011.

Marcel Krist, CEO of Photonfocus commented, “We are delighted to have found a strong sales partner for our products in FRAMOS. As a specialist for sensors, FRAMOS is an ideal match for Photonfocus. We can now concentrate on our core competences of sensor and camera design and can significantly and rapidly expand our product range.”

Over the last 10 years, Photonfocus has established a presence in the market for industrial image processing with its LinLog patent, allowing linear and logarithmic characterisation of pixels andhigh-dynamic range up to 120 dB.

Established 30 years ago, FRAMOS has a comprehensive portfolio of imaging components such as sensors, companion chips, camera modules, cameras, lighting, and accessories.
