California-based LumaSense Technologies has acquired the thermal imaging and services assets of Louisiana-based Reliability Point, which provides equipment and related services to diversified industrial manufacturers in the Gulf Coast region and Southeastern United States. The acquisition allows LumaSense to enhance sales, support, and aftermarket services for its line of thermal imaging devices, such as infrared (IR) cameras used in industrial plants.
"For the last five years, Reliability Point and LumaSense have worked closely together on a number of industrial thermal imaging projects. This acquisition is a natural evolution of our business relationship that will enable us to provide even better service to our customers," says Bob Arnold, president of Reliability Point.
LumaSense develops products and services that measure temperature and gas in industrial facilities. The company's line of thermal imaging technology includes detectors, modules and cameras that monitor temperature in markets such as energy, industrial, and clean technology.
