In order to meet the increasing demands for its machine vision components, Opto GmbH has announced additional deal network representation in Europe and new representation in South America.

Opto’s range of Green Line Machine Vision products will now be represented by Rauscher Bildverarbeitung GmbH. The Green Line of products includes bi-telecentric lenses, zoom lenses, and zero distortion macro lenses. Rauscher has a strong focus on embedded systems, smart cameras, and software, so the distributor is expected to be a strong fit for Opto’s optical components for vision applications.

Infaimon, a distributor of machine vision solutions across Spain, Portugal, Mexico, and Brazil, will now also carry Opto products in these territories. This new partnership will provide these countries with access to Opto’s products for purposes of emerging vision applications in industry and science.

Lastly, FUJIFILM Switzerland AG will now be offering Opto’s complete range of Green Line Machine Vision products across its client base in Switzerland.

In the past few months, we’ve taken a look at how global expansion has led to increases in sales for the machine vision industry. In Germany, for example, the company was able to hit its 5% growth as predicted by the VDMA, largely because of the expansion into new territories. In another article published earlier in August, we took a look at the state of the machine vision industry in 2014, and how it is poised to be a record year. As companies like Opto continue to increase their global presence, this prediction seems more and more likely each day.
