Significant update to Matrox Imaging Library machine vision software announced

Matrox Imaging announced a major update to its Matrox Imaging Library (MIL) vision software. MIL 10 Processing Pack 1 will provide new tools for solving 2D and 3D vision challenges from within the MIL API, along with productivity enhancements, which will reduce the development time and effort required to bring solutions to market.  

Matrox Imaging announced a major update to its Matrox Imaging Library (MIL) vision software. MIL 10 Processing Pack 1 will provide new tools for solving 2D and 3D vision challenges from within the MIL API, along with productivity enhancements, which will reduce the development time and effort required to bring solutions to market. The enhancements for 2D and 3D vision applications include:

  • Calibration of multiple sheet-of-light and camera systems to work as one (3D)
  • A new peak detection algorithm (3D)
  • A new 3D surface registration tool (3D)
  • Additional image pre-processing (2D)
  • Additions to ID mark reading and verification tools (2D)
  • New color-relative calibration (2D)
  • New dedicated circle matcher and additional speed optimizations using Intel AVX2 technology (2D)

Productivity enhancements include intelligent code completion and context-sensitive help in Visual Studio, C#/Python/Visual Basic scripting and execution, and an overhauled Example Launcher utility.
