USB 3.0 camera from MATRIX VISION features 12 MPixel Sony Pregius image sensor

MATRIX VISION has announced the addition of a new model to the mvBlueFOX3-2 family of cameras, the mvBlueFOX3-2124G, which is among the first cameras to feature the new Sony IMX253 Pregius sensors.  

MATRIX VISION has announced the addition of a new model to the mvBlueFOX3-2 family of cameras, the mvBlueFOX3-2124G, which is among the first cameras to feature the new Sony IMX253 Pregius sensors. The IMX253 is a 12.4 MPixel global shutter CMOS image sensor with a 3.45 µm pixel size that can achieve frame rates of 34.6 fps at full resolution. Additionally, the sensor features a dynamic range in excess of 71 dB and as of now, the greyscale version of the sensor is being piloted and is available as mvBlueFOX3-2124G. Additionally, the camera features 256 MB integrated image memory, and an FPGA that includes smart features such for image processing, along with 2/4 digital inputs and outputs. The camera is compatible with the GenICam and USB3 Vision standards and comes with drivers for Windows, while also supported all USB3 Vision-compatible third-party image processing libraries.
