4K block camera from Sony targets multiple applications

Sony Europe’s Image Sensing Solutions division has announced the release of a 4K autofocus camera block, the FCB-ER8300, which is specifically designed for security, surveillance, and industrial applications and features a 4K Exmor R CMOS image sensor that can achieve frame rates of up to 30 fps,.

Sony Europe’s Image Sensing Solutions division has announced the release of a 4K autofocus camera block, the FCB-ER8300, which is specifically designed for security, surveillance, and industrial applications. The camera is based on a 4K Exmor R CMOS image sensor that can achieve frame rates of up to 30 fps, and includes 20X zoom capability with advanced zoom technology from Sony. Additionally, the camera features advanced noise reduction, VISCA command protocol, HDMI output, and a compact form factor (60 x 64 x 105 mm), which allows for integration into PTZ camera systems.
