Kontron's new KBox A-202 embedded PC features support for Intel Gateway Solutions for the Internet of Things and is designed for use in such applications as industrial automation, transportation, and communications.

Featuring support for Intel Gateway Solutions for the Internet of Things, the KBox A-202 from Kontron is designed for use in such applications as industrial automation, transportation, and communications. The embedded fanless KBox A-202 is based on the Intel Atom processor E3800 and offers a range of industrial interfaces, including 2 GigE, 2 USB 3.0, and an optional CAN bus and/or Profibus interface, whereas legacy installations benefit from two serial interfaces (RS-232/485). Supporting Kontron’s embedded application programming interface (KEAPI) and Intel Gateway Solutions for the Internet of Things, the KBox A-202 can be deployed by OEM and SI customers looking to exploit the full potential of the IoT by extending their systems to connect with next-generation intelligent infrastructures. Additionally, the Kbox A-202 features with LTE (4G) and GSM (2G/3G) or WiFi for wireless connection to the cloud or local network.
