Teledyne FLIR Launches New Stereo Vision Solution

Combination of camera, 3D software designed for machine vision tasks such as robotics, warehouse automation, logistics.

Teledyne FLIR has launched a new stereo vision solution, the Bumblebee X Series, which pairs the company’s Bumblebee X stereo cameras with Spinnaker 3D software.

Equipped with a CMOS global shutter sensor, the color camera has 3 MPixel resolution with a 3.45µm pixel size and a 60° FOV and performs onboard image processing. It has GigE interface and is GigE Vision v2.0 compliant. It supports ROS 1 &2, Linux, Windows, and ARM operating systems. It has a baseline stereo vision of 24 cm, and its  onboard processing feature outputs a depth map and color data for point cloud conversion and colorization.

With a footprint of 304 x 64 x 45 mm, it weighs 900 g and is rated IP67. It has an operating temperature range of -10°C to 50°C and an operating humidity (no condensation) range of 20% to 80%.

Bumblebee X is especially designed for real time machine vision applications such robotics, warehouse automation and logistics.
