Basler Launches New Board Level Area Scan Camera

April 24, 2024
Camera designed for machine vision applications such as factory automation, logistics.

Basler has launched a new board level area scan camera, the dart M. With a modular design and small footprint for flexibility in configuration and adaptability, the dart M has several options from which to choose. The camera comes equipped with a Sony Pregius CMOS global shutter sensor, monochrome or color, and has several resolution options, including VGA, 1.6 MPixel, and 2.3 MPixel, as well as frame rates of 51, 73, and 290 fps, depending on the camera option.

All have GigE interfaces, which allows for multiple camera set-ups, and all can be configured as bare board, or with S-mount or CS-mount lens mounts.

The camera can be connected to an interface board using a 5, 15, or 30 cm flat flex cable. Using the standard RJ45 connector, the camera has two interface board options, either a one cable via PoE or two cables via AUX power.

The dart M camera is designed for a wide variety of machine vision applications, including factory automation, logistics, robotics, and inspections.
