BAE Systems announces 12 µm pixel infrared imaging core

BAE Systems has announced the release of the TWV640 thermal camera core, which features a 640 x 480 vanadium oxide (VOx) microbolometer pixel array and 12 µm x 12 µm pixel size.

BAE Systems has announced the release of the TWV640 thermal camera core, which features a 640 x 480 vanadium oxide (VOx) microbolometer pixel array and 12 µm x 12 µm pixel size. The TWV640 infrared camera core can operate at 60Hz or 30Hz, features a spectral response region of 7.5 µm to 13.5 µm, and has either a USB or Camera Link interface. In addition, the camera core is equipped with a number of video processing features, including black hot, white hot, edge detector, and color enhanced output modes, manual sharpness adjustment, and other capabilities such as local area contrast enhancement algorithms and histogram equalization. The TWV640 infrared camera core is suitable for use in security and surveillance, firefighting vision systems, process monitoring, automotive cameras, and thermography applications.
