At The Vision Show 2018, JAIwill showcase a number of its latest machine vision cameras, including the Apex AP-3200T-USB and the Sweep SW-4000TL-PMCL. The Apex AP-3200T-USB features prism technology, which separates incoming light into red, green, and blue wavelengths which are directed to three precisely-aligned 3.2 MPixel Sony Pregius IMX265 CMOS image sensors. Through the camera’s USB3 Vision interface, it can acquire as much as 3 x 3.2 megapixels at 38.3 fps and a has a data throughput of 350 MB/s, which is more than three times faster than previous 3-CCD models. According to JAI, this camera offers more accurate per-pixel color values than those derived from Bayercolor cameras with interpolation routine.
JAI’s Sweep Series SW-4000TL-PMCL (pictured) is a 4K trilinear (4096 x 3 CMOS image sensor) line scan camera that features a 7.5 µm pixel size, up to 66 kHz line rate, horizontal and vertical binning, and RGB output with built-in color space conversion for HSI, CIE XYZ, and others. It also has a Camera Link interface and an intelligent sub-pixel spatial compensation function to account for the three-line spacing on the target and avoid problems with halos or color fringes in the image, according to JAI.
