EVT Bolt Series cameras from Emergent Vision Technologies are 25GigE high-speed cameras targeting machine vision applications. Touted by the company as the first 25GigE cameras, the Bolt series are currently offered in two models: The HB-50000 and the HB12000.

Featuring the 50 MPixel CMV50000 CMOS image sensor, the HB-50000 camera—a Platinum honoree in the 2018 Innovators Awards—is available in color or monochrome and delivers 7920 x 6004 images at 30 fps. The HB-12000 (pictured) features the 12 MPixel CMV12000 CMOS image sensor and is capable of capturing 4096 x 3000 images at 188 fps.

Both camera models offer a 25-fold increase over in data transmission speeds over standard GigE and are also GigE Vision and GenICam compliant. Additionally, the cameras use fiber cabling and low-cost SFP28 transceivers from 1 meters to 10 kilometers, without the need for fiber converters or repeaters.
