For the first half of 2018, video surveillance and machine vision camera company Hikvision has reported year-over-year double digit increases in operating income and net profit.

From January 1 to June 30, 2018, Hikvision reports a total operating income of $3.06 billion (RMB ¥20.88 billion), representing a 26.92% increase over the RMB ¥16.45 billion reported in the first six months of 2018. Net profit attributable to shareholders of the company for the first half of 2018 is up 26% year-over-year at $608 million (RMB ¥4.15 billion) this year compared to RMB ¥3.29 billion in 2017. Earnings per share also went up 25.77% for the reporting period, at $.06 (RMB ¥0.449) compared to RMB ¥0.357 in 2017.

To continue to drive growth, Hikvision—according to the company—is making major investments in local sales, marketing, and service networks around the world. During the first half of 2018, the company established more than 10 new regional offices in overseas markets, designed to increase sales, delivery, and customer support offerings in local markets.

"Demand for Hikvision's first class products, customer service and technical support is driving growth in North America, where Hikvision provides high-skill, good-paying jobs for more than 400 professionals located in communities across the U.S. and Canada," said Jeffrey He, president of Hikvision USA Inc., and Hikvision Canada Inc.
