OS02C10 ultra low light image sensor released by OmniVision Technologies

The OS02C10 image sensor from OmniVision Technologies, Inc. is a 2.9 µm, 2 MPixel sensor with a quantum efficiency of 60% at 850 µm and 40% at 940 µm. According to OmniVision, these quantum efficiency levels provide a 3x reduction in system-level power consumption.

The OS02C10 image sensor from OmniVision Technologies, Inc. is a 2 MPixel sensor with a 2.9 µm pixel size, and a quantum efficiency of 60% at 850 µm and 40% at 940 µm. According to OmniVision, these quantum efficiency levels provide a 3x reduction in system-level power consumption.

The OS02C10 has an SNR1850nm rating of of 23 nw/cm2 and an SNR1940nm rating of 31 nw/cm2. While producing 1080p images, the OS02C10 has an SNR1 rating of 0.16 lux. The new sensor has a high dynamic range of 120 db.
