SDK addresses 3D machine vision challenges

Updates to the core API settings allow enhanced HDR image capture sequencing.

Zivid’s SDK 2.0 provides contrast distortion correction, a source of error in active 3D measurement technology, such as structured light. Signal blur at high-contrast transitions, as on metal surfaces, cause artifacts and distorted or deformed 3D point clouds, which are removed by the vision engine algorithm. Updates to the core API settings allow enhanced HDR image capture sequencing.

For robot cells requiring a 360º view of a target object, full-picture, multi-camera calibration is supported, reducing the need for object rotation and allowing a common calibration pattern and operation according to a unified coordinate system. The SDK is currently available as a free download.
