• Single-chip interface designed for CoaXPress 2.0 support

The EQCO125X40 transmitter/receiver/repeater allows up to 12.5 Gbps on a single cable.
    Feb. 17, 2021

The EQCO125X40 CoaXPress 2.0 transmitter/receiver/repeater single-chip physical-layer interface device family from Microchip Technology simultaneously transmit signals on a single cable or PCB trace pair. Implementing the CoaXPress 2.0 standard, the chips lock on all frequencies at any speed from CXP-1 to CXP-12 and supports 12.5 Gbps bandwidth on a single cable.

The need to program a separate clock in the FPGA is eliminated by on-camera low-frequency clock recovery, and integrated link signal integrity testing enables the system to perform real-time checks of cable link integrity before and during operations. The EQCO125X40 is designed for backward compatible design based on the CoaXPress 2.0 standard and also includes an integrated receiver, re-clocker, and driver.
