Eigen Innovations has introduced Eigen Image Twin as a beta release. It is a software tool that eliminates unwanted variations from image data to create a standardized, comparable view for all parts. To accomplish this, Image Twin merges images with the CAD data of the part to create a digital twin. The resulting 3D asset can then be oriented in the same viewing angle for all images.The software is designed to solve a common problem for integrators training machine learning models for inspection applications: the lack of consistent, comparable images. Often, existing images of part defects come from different machines at different locations, captured at different times. Because images are standardized, the trained models can be deployed on different production lines without being adapted to different perspectives or lighting conditions.
