Software handles image compression
The JPEG image-compression software development kit includes libraries, DLLs, sample source codes, and build/make files. Based on the JPEG or ISO DIS 10918-1 format, it provides DCT algorithm and other software that compresses gray-scale or color images to ratios as high as 100:1. Key features include selectable input/output file formats, quality factors of 1-255, lossy (DCT based) or lossless compression modes, and storage of generated code stream either in file or memory buffers. The kit is provided separately for different Windows operating systems.
